Thomas Michael Dougherty, 61, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2020, with close family and friends by his side. Thomas was born January 11, 1959, in Philadelphia, PA, to Paul and Mary Dougherty. Thomas grew up in Wallingford, PA, where he made many fond memories and lifelong friendships. He was a great athlete, particularly a talented football player. His football skills landed him a scholarship to Episcopal Academy, where he graduated in 1977. He then attended Ursinus College, where he studied economics and was a member of the Zeta Chi Fraternity, and graduated in 1981. In 1991, Thomas started his own insurance business in Media, PA, alongside his brother, Christopher. Aside from being an extremely hard worker, Thomas was a loving father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He loved spending quality time with family and friends, going down to the Jersey Shore, watching the Philadelphia Eagles and most other sports, and supporting local Media businesses and restaurants. He is survived by his daughter, Mickenzie Dougherty (Richard Buzza), brother, Kevin Dougherty, sister, Karen Williams (Justin Williams), many cousins, his stepchildren Kristine, Lindsay, and David, his nieces and nephews, and many many friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Dougherty, and younger brother, Christopher Dougherty. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. John Chrysostom (617 S Providence Rd, Wallingford, PA 19086).
