The Carr Funeral Home is a family owned and operated funeral home now in its fifth generation of funeral service. The Carr Funeral Home is committed to providing meaningful funeral arrangements that honor the life of the deceased and help the family to grieve. The Carr family will do everything to help you through life’s most difficult time.
It is with great pride that we announce that the Carr Funeral Home has been sold to John E. Carr III. John has partnered with Chris Oakes who will serve as an associate and business manager. This sale insures that our family business, now in its 60th year, will be passed on to a third generation of the Carr family. Although they sold the business, Jack and Michael Carr will still be involved with the funeral home on a more limited basis. We remain committed to providing quality and comforting service at a difficult time.
An Important Message from the Carr Funeral Home and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association.
The Carr Funeral Home and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association want you to know that when there is a death in your family, you want to rely upon someone who can provide professional advice on subjects that are unfamiliar to you….death and dying, funerals, funeral merchandise, cremation, and grief recovery. Funeral directors are the one complete resource that you can call upon, at any time, with all your questions.
Your funeral director is also the one you should turn to when it comes to purchasing caskets, vaults and urns. When you buy from other retailers – such as cemeteries or casket stores– you are not guaranteed a lower price than what you would pay when purchasing from your funeral director. More importantly, you have to be careful because it is possible the products can be of inferior quality and your funeral home may not be able to accept the liability.
Whether you contact one of our licensed funeral directors to prearrange a funeral or to make arrangements for a funeral at your time of need, you can trust him or her to provide you with the information, expertise and quality service you need to make choices that are right for you.
We, here at the Carr Funeral Home stand ready to serve you, our friends and neighbors.
