Teresa S. Harper, 95 of Wallingford, passed away on June 1, 2017 at Springfield Hospital. Mrs. Harper was born in Philadelphia to Peter and Gertrude (nee Cannon) McDevitt. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and the Chester Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse who worked as the OR Supervisor at Chester Hospital for 10 years and worked on the Maternity Unit at Crozer-Chester Medical Center until retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Harper was a member of the Chester Hospital Nurses Alumni Association and St. John Chrysostom Church. She was an avid Phillies fan, she enjoyed casino trips especially those with her husband and she enjoyed spending time with her sons.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Harper was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, James J. Harper who passed away in 2000 and her brothers Paul and Andrew McDevitt.
She is survived by her sons John P. Harper of Essington, Joseph R. Harper of Wallingford, and James Harper of Brookhaven.
