Susan Carroll, 72, of Cochranville Pennsylvania died peacefully November 14, in the arms of her loving husband John. They had been married for over 53 years. She was a loving mother to John F. Carroll Jr. of West Chester, PA, Missy (Kevin) Crist of Jacksonville FL, Kathy (Grant) Thompson of Cochranville, Michael Carroll of Cochranville, and Krissy Carroll of Brookhaven, PA. She was a loving and generous grandmother to her grandchildren Stephanie, Jacqueline, Matthew, Montana, Emily, Nicholas and Anthony. She is also survived by her sisters Delores Heintz, Pauline Heintz, Theresa Heintz, and Janet Hackman (Gary), and her brother Henry Heintz (Sue), as well as many nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Henry and Mary Heintz.
All Susan ever wanted to be was a good wife and mother. She put all of her energy into those passions and created a loving home. She was a best friend to her husband and all of her children, always there to support them. Following in the footsteps of her mother she was a great cook, bowled for many years at the Conchester Lanes, loved to play scrabble, cards, and over the last 20 years games with her grandchildren. Having her family around her is when she was most happy.
Friends and family are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday at 11:00 AM in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church 300 State Road West Grove. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Road (Route 320) Wallingford or Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery Kennett Square.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Assumption BVM Home and School Association, 290 State Road, West Grove PA 19390 in Susan’s name.
