Rita (Sabatino) Spadea Schiavo, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2021. She was raised in South Philadelphia and was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. She was a longtime resident of Wallingford, PA. She worked at the Delaware County Courthouse, in the Register of Wills for over 20 years.
Rita was a wonderful mother and Mom Mom. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and loved making delicious meals for her family and friends to enjoy. Her amazing recipes will be cherished by her family forever! Rita loved spending summers down the shore, in Margate, NJ.
She was the daughter of the late Felice and Marina Sabatino. She was predeceased by her loving husbands, Samuel Spadea and John Schiavo. Rita was preceded in death by her three beloved brothers, Joseph, Felix and John Sabatino.
Surviving are her loving children: Michele Sucher (deceased, Stephen) and Annette Bancroft (William); 6 grandchildren: Samuel, Stephanie, Eric, William, Michele and Nicole; and 5 great grandchildren; Laney, Marina, SJ, Franklin and Violet.
