Richard Williams (Rick) of Aston passed away suddenly on Aug 1. at Beebe Hopsital in Lewes, DE surrounded by his family. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Aston. He retired in 2002 from the Xerox Corporation after 35 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro, DE. He loved spending time at his home at Gull Point in Millsboro. He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing, cooking and time with his friends there. Above all he loved his family, especially his granddaughters and loved spending happy times with them. He will be missed.
Rick was predeceased by his parents, John and Sophie Williams, and his brother J. Rodger Williams.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Frances (Fran), their children Carolyn and Christopher Williams, his granddaughters Lauren and Talia, former daughter-in-law Sharon Menahem, sisters-in-law Diana Williams of Austin, TX and Barbara McKeaney of Marlton, NJ, 5 nephews, 2 nieces, many godchildren, his Texas family, his New Jersey family and many cherished friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday Aug. 9 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church 3255 Concord Rd., Aston. Friends may call at the church from 9 am to 10:15 AM. Int. Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston.
