Richard G. Sweeney of Middletown Township died Saturday at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Mr. Sweeney was born in Philadelphia the son of the late Joseph G. and Amelia nee Durisek Sweeney. Richard was a graduate of Penncrest High School.
He and his family had lived in Middletown since 2001 moving from Aston.
Richard was employed as a steamfitter by Local 420 Steamfitters Union where he retired on disability.
He was active with Delco Bird Club, Steamfitters Alumni and Herbalife.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Leslie nee Poe Sweeney and his daughter Theresa A. Sweeney.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rt. 320) Wallingford from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M when his Funeral Service will begin.
Interment Private.
