Raymond Moise, 67, of Wallingford passed away on Oct. 1, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann (Calderoni) Moise; sons Raymond Jr. (Nicki) and Daniel (Christopher McAdams); grandsons Logan and Ryan; sisters Marie, Theresa, and Donna; and many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was born in Philadelphia to Alfred and Eleanor (Duffey) Moise. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary in Princeton, NJ.Professionally, Raymond spent the majority of his career in residential real estate. He worked alongside his wife’s family at Century 21 Calderon Brothers, and later became a founding owner of Century 21 Alliance. With both his clients and staff, Raymond’s priority was building lasting relationships.
Raymond approached everyone from strangers to lifelong friends with warmth, openness, and a smile. Few things made Raymond happier than being with people and hosting gatherings of friends and family. At Sunday pasta dinners and on holidays, particularly Thanksgiving, Raymond justly occupied the seat at the head of table.
Lovingly called “Pappy” by his two grandsons, Raymond was fun-loving and attentive. He, Rose Ann, and the boys enjoyed countless sleepovers and outings to Storybook Land, Dutch Wonderland, and other destinations.
As a father, Raymond skillfully managed to raise two sons with contrasting tastes and interests. With his older son, he would attend rock concerts and take yearly trips to the Poconos. With his second son, he would gladly watch vintage movie musicals or confront the East Coast’s most terrifying roller coasters.
Without question, Raymond’s primary source of happiness and purpose came from his wife, Rose Ann. Their 43-year marriage was notable for its tranquility, affection, and devotion. They were true partners.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11:00 AM in St. John Chrysostom Church at 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford. Friends may call on the family at the church on Friday, Oct. 4 from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 AM. His interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory and donations of blood and blood products can be made to the American Red Cross.
