Ralph R. DelVacchio Jr., 73 of Brookhaven, PA ,formerly of Magnolia, NJ, passed away July 22, 2018 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was raised in Upper Darby by his parents Ralph and Mary Ann (Maranitch) DelVacchio. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After the war, he managed several stores including Pantry Pride, Shop N Bag, IGA, and Staples. He was an exceptional whistler and loved to fish especially on his favorite charter boat "The Duke of Fluke" in Summers Point, NJ. He will best be remembered as a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
Ralph is survived by his children Regina (John) McLaughlin of Stratford, NJ, Christina (Louis) Vanderworken of Florida, Ralph III (Andrea) of Parkside, Stephen (Jessica) of North Dakota and Tasha DelVacchio of Magnolia, NJ., his siblings Mike DelVacchio of North Wildwood, NJ and Sue Ritchie of Toms River, NJ., 12 grandchildren Caitlyn McLaughlin, Hannah McLaughlin, Sean McLaughlin, Riley McLaughlin, Tina Gillespie, Amy Toth, Ariana Vanderworken, Lewis Vanderworken, Noelle Van Horn, Madelynn DelVacchio, Ralph DelVacchio IV and Nathan and 5 great granchidlren Anna-Marie and Eric, Mark, John and Giovanni .
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday July 27 at 10:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church 1901 Chester Pike Eddystone where friends may call after 9 AM. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cem.
