
Loretta Q. Maylath, 87, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8th at her home. She was born in Wilburton, PA to the late Edward and Katherine Quinn. She was a graduate of Conyngham High School with the class of 1946. Loretta was a woman who was dedicated to her home and family. She also worked for several years as a bookkeeper for Nilon Brothers. She was a long-time member of St. John Chrysostom Church. She enjoyed playing bridge, painting and doing puzzles. She also enjoyed sports and was an active bowler and tennis player.
She was predeceased by her son, Robert Maylath. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lewis A. Maylath; daughter, Kathleen Maylath; son, Richard Maylath(Barbara); grandchildren, Griffin and Carly Maylath; sister, Margaret Chapman.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 13th at 11am at St. John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford. Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd.(Rte. 320) Wallingford, PA, and again on Wednesday morning from 10am-11am at St. John Chrysostom Church 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA. Burial will follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/donate.
