Lawrence William Armitage of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 11, 2014 in Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 17, 1955. Lawrence graduated from Nether Providence High School in 1973. He was married to Wanda Louise (Clausing) Armitage.
Lawrence was a car salesman for many different car dealerships in the area. His true passion throughout his life was always cars. He especially loved his red 1970 Oldsmobile 442.
He is survived by his children Lawrence Armitage, Jr. and his wife Mariah Armitage, April Mullen and her husband Timothy Mullen, and Melissa Armitage; his grandchildren Ethan Armitage, Evan Armitage, Kaleb Mullen, Emma Armitage, Logan Mullen, Elijah Armitage; his siblings Richard Armitage, Janet Kasaab, Daniel Armitage, and David Armitage. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Armitage and Jane Armitage, and his brother Jay Armitage. Friends may call Saturday at 12 Noon at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rt. 320) Wallingford. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M.
