Kertrice Henry “Bucky” Caesar
October 7, 1966 - April 14, 2022
Henry, also known as “Bucky,” was born in Scarborough, Tobago, on October 7th, 1966, to Wilhelmina and the late Fitzgerald Caesar. After a short battle with cancer, he passed away on April 14th, 2022.
Henry attended Lambeau Anglican Primary School and Bonaccord Trade School, where he learned his craft of carpentry. He worked for Tobago House of Assembly Works and Infrastructure for several years, mastering his skill.
Henry had a passion and talent for football (soccer), which led him to become the most powerful player in Tobago. He proudly served on the Tobago National Team and played with Lambeau United, New Edition Football Club, St. Clair Coaching School, and the Moses Family Team.
Henry relocated to Boston, where he started his career and subsequent business in construction and general carpentry. He later met Pamela at her doorstep when he arrived to build her deck. The two married years later, on June 8th, 2002. Henry and Pamela moved to Pennsylvania, where Henry quickly rose in popularity. His outgoing personality and friendly sense of humor allowed him to easily connect with everyone in Media’s Reserve at Rosetree neighborhood, especially its youngest residents. Henry could often be seen walking Presely (the family dog), building one of the neighborhood’s many decks, or hosting friends at their home.
Henry’s passions included ocean fishing, playing soccer, and entertaining family and friends with his delicious home-cooked meals. Everyone loved his specialties, including curried crab & dumplings, fried bake & shark, smoked turkey soup, stewed rabbit & rice, and sweet baked coconut bread. His food was always seasoned to perfection but was, more importantly, made with love.
Henry was preceded in death by his sister Eva. He was loved and respected by many and will be missed dearly by his wife: Pamela, his children: Toren and Nichole, his mother: Wilhelmina, his siblings: Jayson, Hudson, Stanley, Utilda, Marilyn, Merlyn, Donlin, his companion: Presley, family members, and countless friends.
Although our hearts are broken, Henry would want us to remember him with joy and celebrate his life, well-lived. His family extends their sincere gratitude for your love and support.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 11 am at Christ Church 311 S. Orange St. Media, PA 19063. Friends and family are invited to his viewing in church from 10-11am. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Henry can be made to the Abramson Pancreatic Cancer Fund. Checks payable to the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, 3535 Market St. Ste 750, Phila.
