Julia Caton, 83 of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Monday March 1 after a brief illness. Born in West Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Julia (Symczak) Caton. Julia attended St. Carthage’s grammar school and was a 1954 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. She worked in several positions at Curtis Publishing Company, and later as a phone operator at West Park Hospital.
In addition to her parents, Julia is predeceased by her brother Frank and sister-in-law Mary. She is survived by her son Albert H. Schuster Jr., brother Vincent, sister Clara (Joe) D’Ascenzo, sister-in-law Rose, many nieces and nephews and several cousins.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs of both Nazareth Hospital and Immaculate Mary Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday March 10 at 11am at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford. Friends may call after 10am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd., Yeadon.
