Joan F. Godun (nee Talbot), passed away on April 22, 2022 in Wallingford Nursing Home.
Joan was born in Chester, PA but spent over 70 years residing in Wallingford, PA.
She graduated from Nether Providence High School in 1957. After graduation,
Joan began her career as a Secretary at Scott Paper Company in Chester, where she met and married her husband Alex Godun. After quitting Scott Paper, she became a full-time homemaker for almost two decades. Joan eventually returned to the workforce to have a diverse career working such jobs as a technician in an optical lab, as a food service worker in Wallingford Elementary School, and a tour guide at Linvilla Orchards.
Joan enjoyed going to the casinos, league bowling and vegetable gardening in the hot sun. But Joan found the most joy in following the music and sports activities of her grandsons Sebastian and Aidan. She was a longtime member of St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ethel Talbot and her husband of 28 years, Alexander Godun.
She is survived by her son Alexander T. Godun, his wife Stephanie Godun and grandsons Sebastian and Aidan.
Friends and family are invited for visitation on Monday May 2nd from 11-1130 am at Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rte. 320), Wallingford PA. Burial and graveside service will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery Linwood, PA.
