 | 1938-2015 Geraldine E. Dougherty of Media formerly a 53 year resident of Ridley Park died Saturday September 5, 2015. Geri was born in Darby the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Agnes nee Sullivan Welsh. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan. Geri was employed by Prudential Insurance Co, Clover, and retired from Day & Zimmerman as a HR Specialist. Geri was very active at St. Madeline’s parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Past Prefect of Sodality, Den Mother. She also was a member of the Hockey Club at St. James High School, and was a member of Notre Dame High School Alumnae Association. She is survived by her husband John J. Dougherty, Jr., sons Sean (Elaine) of Media, Thomas (Anne) and Dennis (Lisa) both of Kennett Square grandchildren Zac, Ryan, Kevin, Tommy, Erin, Matt, Owen, her sister Kathleen McCracken of Media. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Madeline Church Ridley Park where friends may call from 8:30 A.M. to 9:45 A.M.
