Florence “Flossie” Bryant, 70, of Chester passed away on February 1st, 2017 at her daughter’s home. She was born and raised in Chester. She graduated from Notre Dame, Moylan. She worked as a switchboard operator at Scott Paper/Kimberlee Clark and at Martin’s Run. Mrs. Bryant was a very active member of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Chester. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Fundraising Committee, the photographer for church functions, counted the collection and volunteered for every committee that formed. She was an avid volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital. She also was a volunteer for many years with Seniors helping Seniors. Flossie was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Bryant was predeceased by her parents Frank and Hilda (Boehm) Wolfe and her siblings Jack Wolfe and Ann Sherman.
She is survived by her husband Charles Bryant Jr., her daughter Nancy Bryant (Stephen) Farmer of Voorhees, NJ, her grandchildren Rebecca (Kris) Danna, Joseph Farmer, Stephanie Rose Farmer, and her siblings Martha Poore of Chichester and Jean Hamlin of Altoona; Numerous nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Monday, February 6th at 10:30 AM in St. Katherine Drexel Church 20th St. and Providence Ave. Chester. Friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Route 320) Wallingford and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall.
