Emily T. Ochrymowicz, 88, formerly of Chester passed away on January 2, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born in Chester to the late Michael and Adella Dybicz where she was raised and educated. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School with the class of 1949. Emily worked for 37 years at the Belvedere Nursing Home in Chester as a certified nursing assistant. She was also a long-time member of St. Katharine Drexel Church. She enjoyed her time crocheting, cooking and baking, and gardening. She also liked to take vacations to Wildwood, NJ.
Emily was predeceased by her husband, Francis Ochrymowicz, who died in 2008. She is survived by her children, Jeanette Gale (Michael), Theresa Ochrymowicz, David Ochrymowicz (Terri), Billy Ochrymowicz, and Alice Smedley (Randall); 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Rachko (Bob); brothers, Mike Dybicz (Joan), and Anthony Dybicz (Rose), and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 10th at 10:30am at St. Katharine Drexel Church 19th& Providence Ave. Chester, Pa. Friends and family are invited to call from 9:30-10:30am in church. Burial will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers or gifts, any donations be made in her name to St. Katharine Drexel Church, 19th& Providence Ave. Chester, Pa. 19013, or The Hospice of Moorestown VNA, 300 Harper Drive Moorestown, NJ. 08057.
