Elizabeth A. “Betty” (nee Reilly) Semeraro passed away on June 24, 2017 at home. She was born in Chester to Joseph and Anne (nee Hickey) Reilly. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan and the Pierce Business School. She worked as a secretary for the Thomas A. Reilly Company.
Betty was a member and past President of the General Federation Womens Club of Nether Providence. She was a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization Chester Chapter, the Roaring 20’s Club, The Rose Valley Chorus Valley Voices and a member of St. John Chrysostom Church and Choir. Betty could always be relied on to bring a calming presence to any situation. Even in her passing she modeled grace and dignity. She will be greatly missed by her family and the community at large. She was best known for her love of God and Family.
Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband the Hon. Anthony R. Semeraro and her sister Jane Fisher.
She is survived by her children Anne Marie Semeraro and Victor M. Semeraro, her grandchildren Elizabeth, Anthony and Christina and her sister Claire Bergin.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 29th in St. John Chrysostom Church 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
