Ed Morrow (formerly Mrozowski), born in Chester PA, passed away in Florida on October 21, 2018. For many years he was the owner of Morrow’s Marina in Ridley Park. He graduated from St Hedwig’s Elementary School and St James High School in Chester, Class of ’46, where he played basketball, among other activities. He received his BA degree from Temple University. He was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Over the years he had been employed at Phoenix Steel and Sealy Mattress and was the owner/ operator of Upland Boat, Driftwood Marina in Prospect Park, then Morrow’s Marina.
Ed was an active 89 year old, formerly a long time resident of Aston PA, Ridley Park, PA, Bridgeport, NJ and most recently living in Coconut Creek FL. He was a unique, lovable character, entertaining family and friends with his quirky humor, antics and boating adventure stories. He was known for his hard work in his marina businesses, pool table skills and his local bowling records. He was a long-time Eagles Fan.
He is survived by his fiancée, Dolores Buchman of Fountainville, PA and by his children, Daniel Morrow, Susan Morrow, Jane Koke (Joseph), and Lee Ann Papania; his grandchildren, Heather and Zachary Morrow, Rebecca and Matthew Layman, Edward Koke, Joseph Koke Jr. and Danielle Gettis. He was proud of his 5 great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
Ed is pre-deceased by his parents, Mary and Michael Mrozowski; his brother, Richard Mrozowski and his sisters Lillian Foremny and Mary Kedzierski.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Saturday Dec. 1 at 10:00 AM at Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Rd. (Route 320) Wallingford. Friends may call after 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment Immaculate Heart Cemetery.
