Donald Barrett, 79 of Glen Mills, was born and raised in Chester, PA. He graduated from Chester High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry from Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University). He worked at DuPont for 23 years as the business director for DuPont Electronics in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China. Donald’s hobbies were golfing, watching horse races, fishing with his grandchildren, and going on cruises with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents Norman and Elizabeth (nee Leary) Barrett and his brother Robert Barrett. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Laraine (nee Sill) Barrett, and his children, Corinna Cahill of Minneapolis, MN, Lynn (John) Carr of Garnet Valley, Mark (Aimee) Barrett of Wilmington, DE and 9 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service on Tuesday at 10 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery 4010 Concord Rd. Aston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation 5 Valley Sq, Suite 210 Blue Bell, PA 19422 are appreciated.
