Dolores Phillips of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on February 8, 2022. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1938 and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1957. Dolores served in the United States Army for 2 years before being honorably discharged in 1961. It was while in the Army that she met her husband Richard Phillips before relocating to Philadelphia. Dolores worked as a manicurist on the main line for many years before retiring. Dolores loved dining and traveling with friends and family to Europe and many other tropical locations. She loved to sew, cook, collect jewelry and dote over her grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her father Ricardo Peña Sr.; her mother, Maria Luisa Gonzalez Peña; her Stepmother, Maria de Theresa Gonzalez Peña; her brother, Rueben Peña; her sister, Diana Peña Rodriguez
Dolores is survived by her husband, Richard Phillips; her son Glenn Phillips (Dena Phillips) and grandchildren Nicolas “Cole” Phillips and Sofia Phillips. She is also survived by her Brother, Ricardo Peña Jr.(Graciela Luna Peña) and her sister, Delia Peña Estrada; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eileen Puma(Jerome) Leona Thomas, James Phillips (Mary) Thomas Phillips (Gloria); many nieces and nephews
Her memorial service will be held on Monday, February 14th at 11am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA 19086. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10-11am. Burial of ashes will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
