Dolores Mildred Probst, 96, of Woodlyn, PA passed away on Sunday, March 12th, 2023. She was born in Chester, Pa to the late John and Mildred Hopkins. Dolores attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Chester and went on to graduate from Immaculate Heart Commercial. Dolores was a woman who was dedicated to her home and family. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the Jersey Shore. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and caring for her many pets, especially cats. She was a kind and gentle spirit who was loved by all.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John J. Probst; son, Norman Probst; grandson, Mark Probst; siblings, Mary Wolfe, Betty Harper, John Hopkins, Joe Hopkins, James Hopkins, Donald Hopkins, Patrick Hopkins and Bernard Hopkins.
She is survived by her brother Harry Hopkins and her children: John J. (Patricia), and Dolores Sylvester; Grandchildren: Jennifer Probst (Brandon), Norman Probst(Nicole), John Probst, and Adrian Sylvester; Great –Grandchildren, Sharon Swyers (Matt), Stephanie Gloria Probst (Eddie) and Cole Rabinowitz. Great- Great Grandchildren: Blake Swyers, Oliver, Arabella and Holly Gloria Probst.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21st at 11am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rte. 320) Wallingford, PA. Family and friends are invited to her viewing from 10-11am. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Providence Animal Center 555 Sandy Bank Rd. Media, Pa 19063.
