Chester Thomas Kalivas, known as Tommy, was born on August 23,1934 in Bronx, NY, to the late Angelo and Josephine (Demetrios) Kalivas. He departed this life peacefully on February 26, 2024 at home surrounded by his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Tommy, a long time resident of Wallingford, PA, grew up in Maryland. He was the middle child of 9 siblings. He served two tours in the Air Force of the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with numerous medals. Tommy was a great Chef and loved to cook. Through the years he was employed and cooked at Ms. Marty’s Deli, John Doggie’s Shop, Snow White, Wojies, and The Terminal. Tommy had a life well lived. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved his Bride Joanne and he loved his 3 daughters. He was all about his family. Road trips, summers in Wildwood, and family gatherings through the years. At home during his retirement he was the life of the house spending time with Joanne. He enjoyed his old shows, market runs, and sharing recipes. He had unique relationships with all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. And was proud of them and their accomplishments. He created many special memories with everyone. And left us with great talks and wise words that will never be forgotten.
Tommy was predeceased by his parents. His wife Joanne (Docos). His brothers and sisters William, Nicholas, Jean, Jane, John Angelo. His son-in-law Rick. And granddaughter-in-law Pam. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory; his daughters Marylou (Bill), Josephine (Ricky), Lynda. His grandchildren Nicole, Leah (Chris), Gina, Ricky (Amelia), Angela (Mike), Randi, Tommy. His great grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Robert, Harlee, Ariel, Alyssa, Cassandra, and baby Nicholas. His siblings Henrietta, Helen, Alexander ‘Butchie’ (Ruth).
