Carl J. Spangler, Sr., 88, of Maryland passed away on October 20th. Carl was a long-time resident of Chester and a graduate of Eddystone High School. He worked as a meat packer for Medford Meats until his retirement. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially baseball. He enjoyed flowers and gardening. What he loved most, however, was spending time with family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Isabella Sullivan Spangler; Wife, Lillian Pilkington Spangler; 5 siblings. He is survived by his son, Carl Spangler, Jr. (Karen); Daughters, Cathy Towles (Glenn), and Diane Lincoln (Jeff); Nephew, Eugene Spangler; Grandchildren, Sara Lincoln, Cori Towles, Lindsay Ostan, Amy Spangler, and Jennifer Stover; 7 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 10:30am at Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rte. 320) Wallingford, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 9am-10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery, Wallingford, PA.
