Bertram R. “Mickey” Jackson, 86, of Eddystone passed away on Friday, February 8th. He was born in Chester to the late Bertram and Anna Jackson. He was a graduate of Chester High School, and later went on to earn a degree from Cheney University. Mickey worked as a program coordinator for the Chester-Upland School District. After his retirement, he went on to work as a salesman for Levitz Furniture. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, playing poker, and was an excellent dart player. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Claire Jackson; children, Patrick (Lisa) Caffey, Connie (Steve) Hopkins, and Lydia (Bill) McAllister; brother, Kenneth Jackson; sisters, Nancy Trainor and Kathy Jackson; grandchildren, Dana, Gregory, and Steven; great-grandson, Matthew; pets, Boo-Boo and Sylvia.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 11am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rte. 320) Wallingford, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
