Barbara Valent Miller, 72, of Chester passed away on Wednesday August 24th at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was born and raised in Chester to the late Francis and Florence Valent. She attended St. Robert’s School and went on to graduate from Notre Dame High School with the class of 1967. Barbara worked as a home health aide seeing that as a calling to help those with various ailments. She was the past president of the lady's auxiliary for the FOP William Penn Lodge 19. She was also a long-time member of St. John Chrysostom Church. Barbara loved to read and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She also enjoyed taking walks and trips to the beach. What she enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Michael Valent Miller. She is survived by her husband, Donald H. Miller; daughter, Michelle Miller; brothers, Thomas, Richard (Rosaleen), and John (Michele) Valent; beloved dog, Meko.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 2nd at 11am at St. John Chrysostom Church 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA. Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and Friday morning from 9:30-10:15 am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, Pa. Burial will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
