Allen J. DeVito of Aston passed away on December 7 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born in Chester and raised in Brookhaven. At the time of his death he resided with his wife of 38 years in Aston. Allen was a graduate of Sun Valley High School with the Class of 1979. He also attended Delaware Technical Community College where he received his Journeymen Machinist certification. He worked for many years as a machinist, most recently at New Way Air Bearings. Allen enjoyed coaching hockey at IceWorks. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed building legos and taking trips to the Outer Banks. He was predeceased by his father Dominic DeVito; He is survived by his wife, Karen DeVito; children, Heather Rawding (Dave) and Chris DeVito (Kelly); mother, Clara DeVito; sisters Cheryl Weber (Jon) and Evelyn DeVito; grandchildren Sophia and Lucas Rawding. His close family and friends will be celebrating his life privately at a later date.
