Rita F. Corsaro, 95, passed away on September 20, 2026. Born in Philadelphia on December 5, 1930, she spent most of her adult life in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, surrounded by the family and friends she treasured.
At 18, Rita began working at Girard Bank, later Mellon Bank. She built a career there that lasted until her retirement as a bank manager in 1995, at age 65. Rita loved her work, especially the people she worked with. Her warmth and devotion left such a lasting impression that she is still remembered fondly at her branch today.
Family was always at the heart of Rita’s life. She lovingly cared for her parents, Nicholas and Jennie, for many years and took great joy in being an aunt. She is survived by her beloved brother, Pasquale Corsaro, and his wife, Mary; her nephew Thomas Corsaro (Marion); and her nieces Maripat Rhood (Randy), Jennifer McCahon (Joe), and Sharon Sullivan (Dennis). Rita is also lovingly remembered by her 10 great-nieces and great-nephews and five great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Rita made people feel like family wherever she went. At her assisted living community and nursing home, she was known as “Auntie” because, to Rita, everyone was one of her nieces or nephews. She lived fully, greeted life with a smile, and brought love and happiness to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
Funeral services will be private.
