Michael Walter Granwehr, 80, of Wallingford, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children on September 8, 2026.

Born on January 12, 1946, in Suffern, NY, to Robert and Helen Granwehr, Michael was a proud first-generation Swiss-American. He graduated from St. Peter’s Prep (1963) and Boston College (1967). He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, where he served courageously as a Field Artillery Captain and Aerial Reconnaissance Photographer in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969, receiving an honorable discharge in 1973.

Michael had a distinguished corporate career, working for Chase Manhattan Bank, Bankers Trust, Avon in NYC, founding Classic Development Corp. in Williamsburg, VA, and serving for 18 years as Partner and President of CTX America, Inc. in Wallingford, PA. Michael was a devout parishioner of St. John Chrysostom Church where he was heavily involved in the Knights of Columbus (serving as Grand Knight), a CYO basketball coach, and taught CCD. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father, cherished for his wonderful sense of humor and an unforgettable, comforting smile.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Margaret "Peggy" Granwehr and survived by his children, Kevin (Leah), Kerry (John), Faith, Katie (Daniel), and Christopher; grandchildren, Adelle, Paige, Charlotte, Derrick, Zoey, baby Elle and siblings Veronica, Rita, Peter, Yvonne, and Stephen.

May he rest in peace from right next door at 41 Medbury the last 11 years.. Paige and I will miss our talks about The Eagles, Christianity, The Marines and life in general. We celebrated twice with pots & pans after 2 Super Bowl wins. When we needed a ride to/from airport we realized your heavy pedal, always on time!He loved ALL the different foods which from Steak au Pois, octopus salad and his favorite PW's chili. God bless to the Strath Haven Granwehr children & grands. I also need to point out that Route 320 will not be as clean with your passing. Chip & Paige
