She attended Hillsdale Elementary School, Peirce Middle School, Henderson High School, and Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in Philadelphia.
Family was everything to Julia. She loved to drive around and listen to music with Anna. She attended concerts and music festivals with her Dad, Kristin, and Anna, and they took fantastic vacations to Italy, California, and other memorable locations. They spent valuable time watching movies and TV together, always making each other laugh, and Julia’s great sense of humor came from her Dad.
Julia loved to visit the Caribbean with her Mom, Mike, Anna, and Joe, and she would wake everyone up for the sunrise. She loved to cook and bake with her Mom, especially at the holidays, and enjoyed golfing with her Mom and Mike. (She was getting better each time.) Julia loved to watch Philadelphia sports with Joe and make runs to Dairy Queen on hot nights.
Most importantly, Julia made countless memories in Sea Isle City with all of her family members, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
From the day she was born, Julia filled every room she entered with love and laughter. She was passionate about music, art, sports, astrology, spirituality, and anything that could bring her closer to people.
Julia had an artistic nature. She was passionate about creating with paint, markers, pencils, hair, or makeup and could always rely on a canvas to help her express her emotions and inspirations.
She lived in Philadelphia for several years and started careers in cosmetology and the service industry. Julia cared for her clients and “regulars” by sharing her stories and always being an incredible listener. She grew a strong network of friends who described her as brave, loyal, silly, supportive, funny, and welcoming. They all played an important part in her life and inspired her to be a strong and independent woman.
Julia tried to build people up when they were feeling low and would do anything for her beloved family and friends. She left a mark on everyone’s life no matter how briefly she knew them. Julia will never be forgotten.
Julia is survived by her parents Linda and Mike O’Connor and Michael and Kristin Bush; her sister Anna Bush; her brother Joe O’Connor; her grandparents John E. Carr, Jr. and Nancy Bush; her bonus grandparents Christine and Ray Gothie and Kathy Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and fur babies, all of whom will miss her dearly.
The celebration of Julia’s life will take place on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, PA. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a tribute to Julia will follow.
The O’Connor family will hold a Mass Saturday, July 25, 2026. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay Street, West Chester, PA. A burial of the O’Connor family’s ashes will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Road, Linwood, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributing to Active Minds or the Chester County Art Association.
