| 1923-2015 William E. Grogan, Sr., enjoyed his long life, beside his loving wife, Nora (Loughrey) Grogan. A resident of Brookhaven for almost fifty years, In addition to Nora, Bill is survived by his six children: Maryanne Porter (James, Woodlyn, PA), Rev. William Grogan, Jr. (Philadelphia), Rev. Jim Grogan, Sr. (Moorestown, NJ), Patricia Byrnes (Donald, York, PA), Jean Blaisse (Robert, Newtown Square), and Thomas Grogan (Nancy, Wallingford). Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Rev. Thomas Grogan and Rev. James Grogan; by his sister, Mary Grogan; and by his daughter-in-law Ellie Grogan. Bill and Nora were proud of their 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews. Born in Philadelphia, Bill served in the U.S. Army during WW-II. Bill was a graduate of St. Joseph's College, Philadelphia, and a member of Our Lady of Charity parish in Brookhaven, and was an active member for more than three decades of the Del-Chester Serra Club, promoting vocations within the Catholic Church. Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, June 20 from 9:00 to 10:45 A.M. at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, PA, to be immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA. |
