Thomas J. Boden, Jr.

Thomas J. Boden, Jr. passed away on January 30th , 2025 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. He was born and raised in Chester to the late Thomas and Ethel Moulton Boden. Thomas was a veteran of the US Army with whom he served honorably after his graduation from St. James High School. He was a longtime employee of the City of Chester as a public servant. He also spent time working at Blockbuster Video and Chester Auto Parts. Thomas was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church in Aston, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Eileen A. Boden; daughter, Alice M. Childress and sister, Ethel Brown. He is survived by his daughters, Eileen Troutman (Paul), and Lisa Mack (Jim); 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Tom enjoyed watching the Phillies and was a movie guru. He could recite movie lines word for word. Tom was also an animal lover.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Church 3255 Concord Rd. Aston, Pa. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 9:30-10:30 am in church. Inurnment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tom’s name to Fair Acres Geriatric Center or the Alzheimer's Association

I am going to miss you so much. Your laughter. Your sense of humor. Knowing you are pain free does help some what. Love you Dad♥️

On behalf of the St. James Catholic High School Alumni Association and his 1956 classmates, I extend our deepest sympathies and prayers on your loss. On May 4, 2025, the Alumni Association will remember Thomas at their annual Memorial Mass at St. Madeline's Church in Ridley Park. May he rest in peace!

In the 70’s Tom always walked me to the bus or my car…a real good guy, always pleasant &
