Robert C. Ewing, 88 of Brookhaven , passed away on May 31, 2021. Bob was born and educated in Chester. He graduated from Resurrection Grade School and St. James Catholic High School. Bob’s greatest passion was coaching. He began as the freshman football coach at St. James High School. He later was the Head Coach at Cardinal O’Hara High School from 1975-1990. His teams won several division championships, 3 Catholic League titles and 1 City Title. Bob also worked at Sun Oil and then the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City as an Executive Slot Host. He played semi-pro football in the Marcus Hook League.
Bob was married to Bernice Ewing from 1952 until her death in 2016. He was also predeceased by his parents Clyde and Elizabeth (Gill) Ewing, his son Michael, grandson Jeffrey and his sister Audrey Buckalew.
Bob is survived by his son Robert Jr. and his wife Sue, his daughter in law Sharon, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
