Rev. Joseph M. Glatts, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born in York, Pa to the late James and Margaret Graham Glatts. Father Glatts was raised and educated in Chester and was a graduate of St. Roberts Catholic School and St. James High School with the Class of 1956.
Father Glatts went on to attend St. Charles Borromeo seminary and became a Catholic Priest having served at various parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Father Glatts also served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force as a Chaplain and retired as a Colonel in 1999. He received many service medals in his time in the military, including the Meritorious Service Medal.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James and Jack Glatts.
He is survived by his 11 nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to his Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10am at St. Katharine Drexel Church 1920 Providence Ave. Chester, Pa 19013.
Inurnment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
