Paul Albert Farnschlader (95) passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026.
Paul was born on January 28, 1931 to German immigrants, Paul and Berta Farnschlader in Allentown Pa. After graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School, his basketball skills earned him a scholarship to Tristate College in Angola, Indiana. Following 4 distinguished years on the Varsity basketball team at Tristate (where he was known as “Lefty”), Paul graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, Paul landed his first job in the aerospace industry for Bell Helicopters in Fort Worth, Texas where he met and wed his wife, Jackie Forte. After several years at Bell Helicopter, he would return to Pennsylvania to join The Boeing Company’s Helicopter Division, where he worked for 30 years.
In Media, Paul and Jackie started their family residing in the house he had built in 1966 in Media Pa., living there until his passing. Paul is pre-deceased by Parents Paul and Berta Farnschlader, brothers James and Albert Farnschlader, and sister Rita Slafkosky, and his beloved wife of over 55 years, Jackie. He leaves behind his loving son Paul and wife Missy nee Magee. Daughter Lisa and husband John Waraksa, and sons David and Michael. Grandchildren John Paul, Breana, Connor, Paul and Emily. Great grandchildren, Everly, Penelope, and Goldie, many nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog, Cayuga.
He enjoyed summers at the shore, and traveling the country he was so proud to live in. He was also a big Philly sports fan and an avid supporter of Villanova Basketball. He was a charitable man who had deep sympathy for the underprivileged something he experienced and never forgot while growing up during the Great depression in the 1930’s. He was also very proud to be an American and grateful for the opportunities he received living in the United States. Paul’s love for his wife and children was unwavering. We all relied on his strength and wisdom; he will be deeply missed.

There will be a viewing and visitation at St. John Chrysostom Church 615 South Providence Road Wallingford Pa 19086 on Tuesday, June 30th from 9:30am to 10:45am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am. Entombment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
