Patricia Pluta died on July 11 after a short illness. She was 84.
Patricia was born in Chester, Pa., to John and Anna Pluta. She attended Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic School, Notre Dame School for Girls, and Widener University, graduating with a degree in accounting. She worked for many years at Baldt Anchor & Chain, and later for the Penn-Delco school district.
Pat had a vibrant social life filled with friends from her many interests and activities. She was an avid supporter of the performing arts, an enthusiastic student of meditation and music, and a fixture at local cultural events and her neighborhood YMCA.
Pat’s friends and her family will miss her dearly, especially her brother John Pluta, and her nieces and nephews: Anne (Adam), Larissa, John (Gabi), and Andrew (Erica). Pat was predeceased by her partner of more than 25 years, Lester Burgess.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th at 10 am at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 9-10am. Burial will be private.
