Patricia A. Hostutler, 85, of Claymont, DE passed away on Saturday, July 19th.  She was born and raised in Chester, Pa.  She attended St. Robert’s School and went on to graduate from Notre Dame High School.  She worked for many years as a purchaser for Amtrak until her retirement.  Patricia enjoyed bowling, making crafts, gardening, and traveling.  What she enjoyed most however, was spending time with friends and family.  She was an independent woman who raised her family and was dedicated to them throughout her life.  She also made many friends wherever she would go, and delighted in conversation with everyone.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Ann Dougherty; brother, James Dougherty.  She is survived by her children, Ronald Hostutler, and Anne Hostutler; granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Hostutler; great-granddaughter, Riley Ann Hostutler; sister-in-law, Josie Dougherty; nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July, 29th at 11am at Holy Rosary Church 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE.  Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10-11am in Church.  Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Chester, PA.

So very sorry about your Mom. My mom, Jane, and Pat were good friends. I got to tag along on some of their shenanigans. Also I was your babysitter one summer.

I am so very sorry for your loss, she has been on my mind and I was afraid to call. I knew about her condition from Anne in June. I am sorry that I was not aware that she had passed away.
I am grateful for her trust in me for her care since 2019.
We had a lot of laughs. She was a kind person and I will miss her.
May her memory be a blessing.
