Pamela M. Mullaney passed away on March 3rd, 2025. She was born in Danbury, CT on April 18, 1957. Pamela was a graduate of Bethel High School in Bethel, CT.
Pamela served in the United States Army as a Finance Specialist for 12 years, from December 1976 through May 1989. She achieved the rank of Sergeant in April 1982 and served 3 overseas tours of duty in Korea, Europe, and Honduras. She was awarded the Good Conduct Medal with bronze rope & three loops, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and a Marksman Badge for Rifle. She also received and Honorable discharge.
From September 1996 through December 2004, she worked as a food service worker for the Wood Company at Westtown School.  She continued food service work as an employee of Westtown School from January 2005 through her retirement in July 2024.
Pamela was the caretaker of the family; she loved all the children in her family, from her own to all of the ‘kiddos’: from her nieces and nephews to her grand-nieces and -nephews. She was always available to give advice and councel, and able to lend an ear when necessary. She was a terrific aunt and friend to her family. She was also the family town crier, passing along news to the family.

Her older brother, Robert Trester, Jr, sister Penny Birch, and brother-in-law David Birch have all passed in recent years. Her mother and father are deceased as well.
She is survived by her children Aaron Mullaney of Newark, Delaware, Patrick Mullaney of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and Katlyn Mullaney of Indiana, Pennsylvania; brother and sister-in-law Richard Trester and Joan Trester of Conway, South Carolina; nieces Tammy Trester of Newnan, Georgia and Jennifer Leonard of Derby, Vermont; and nephews Shawn Birch of Lyndonville, Vermont, and Tony Trester of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Visitation and services will be held at the Carr Funeral Home, 935 S Providence Rd, Wallingford, PA on Monday, March 10th, 2025. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Service at 12:00pm. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Pam’s name to Make A Wish Foundation.

I work at Westtown and often saw Pam hard at work in the dining room. She always greeted everyone with a smile that made you feel at home right away. She was also ready to answer any questions to help her extended family at Westtown, she will be missed.
And I had no idea that she had such an impressive military career.
Thoughts and prayers to her family

I did not personally know Pam but I know her son, Patrick and he spoke highly of her and he is a good person, so she did a wonderful job raising him. My thoughts are with Patrick and his family Sorry for your loss

To Pam's children--I knew Pam at Westtown and she not only worked hard, she did it with a smile on her face and a friendly greeting. What impressed me the most about her was how PROUD she was of all of you. My son, Will, was about Katelyn's age and they worked together one summer in the kitchen. We connected over that, so she particularly kept me informed about Katelyn's achievements and she positively glowed with pride. I know how much of a loss you must all be feeling. Your memories will buoy you up, I'm sure, but I am holding you all in the Light as you face this loss.

Pam's daughter and I have been close friends for a long time. I've always had the pleasure of knowing Pamela as a kind and caring person. Her beautiful personality and compassionate heart made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
