Marie J. Doyle (nee Coyle), 83, a resident of Wallingford for the last 21 years, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late James (Matt) J. Doyle for 31 years; the loving mother of James (Joann) Doyle, Annmarie (Jeffrey) Kennedy, Mary Kate Doyle, and Patrick (Dawn) Doyle; the cherished Mom Mom to Catherine, Jimmy (Katie), Tyler, Aurora, Lillyth, and Keira Grace; and the proud great-grandmother of Matthew. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart. She is survived by her beloved sisters-in-law, Mary Coyle, Julie Coyle, and Mary Collins.
Marie is the daughter of the late Mary M. and Joseph T. Coyle. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph C., Lawrence J., and Thomas J Coyle, her beloved sister-in-law, Nancy Doyle and parents-in-law, Mary E. and Mathew Doyle.
Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to the mountains and the shore, visiting Disney, going to the casinos, and watching the Eagles and the Phillies. Her love of dogs was unparalleled and she leaves behind her dear best friend and furry companion, Harry.
Born and raised in Chester, Marie grew up a member of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish. She lived in Brookhaven for many years where she was a member of Our Lady of Charity Parish. Upon moving to Wallingford, she was happy to join the parish of St. John Chrysostom.
Marie was retired and was previously employed by Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, Crozer in Chester, and Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Moylan and became a certified Laboratory Technologist at Misericordia Hospital in Philadelphia.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church. Calling hours will be 9:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30
