Christine M. Ribble (née Fraatz), 60, of Rose Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2025 surrounded by family after a courageous six-and-a-half year battle with advanced stage breast cancer.
Chrissy grew up in Wallingford, PA, where she attended St. John Chrysostom School. She was a 1985 graduate of the last class of Nether Providence High School, where she participated in track and cheerleading. As Director of Risk Management at Porter & Curtis, LLC., she proudly served the insurance needs of the Catholic Church.
Chrissy was an accomplished runner who ran over ten marathons, and qualified for the Boston Marathon five times! She also coached youth track & cross country and belonged to the Delaware County Road Runners Club. Chrissy was a lifelong member of St. John Chrysostom parish, where she was a lector. As a founding member of SOS Book Club, she enjoyed many laughter-filled meetings with her friends on Allen Lane in Media. Chrissy won awards as both an entrant and Jewelry Division Chair at the Philadelphia Flower Show, and was a longtime member of the Providence Garden Club.
Anyone remotely familiar with Chrissy knew she was a birthday cake enthusiast who celebrated her birthday all month long. She enjoyed chocolate, ice cream, winning, and Ocean City, New Jersey (where she often took her beloved English Labradors, Poppyseed and the late, great Daisy Ribble). Chrissy was also a fan of high heels, Lilly Pulitzer, and a good sale. But out of all of her interests and accomplishments, she was most proud of being “Mom” and “Nana”.
As a self- described “glass half-full person”, Chrissy maintained her positivity and unbreakable spirit even in the face of a devastating cancer diagnosis. She was vibrant and full of life; a true force. We will miss her very much.
Chrissy is predeceased by her loving husband, Jack T. Ribble Jr.  She is survived by her children, Grace (Shane Wensel) Ribble and Jack T. (Natalie) Ribble III; baby granddaughter Ellie Grace Ribble; parents Veronica (née O’Meara) and Paul T. Fraatz Jr.; sisters Melissa (Tom) Rampulla and Veronica (Richard) Stetler; brother Paul T. (Annette) Fraatz III; boyfriend Greg Peetros and his sons Jay (Jenette), Dean, and Evan; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who became family.
Chrissy’s family would like to express their profound gratitude to every healthcare worker who treated her during her battle with cancer, especially those at Bryn Mawr Hospital, as well as her friends and family members who assisted with her care.
All services will be held at St. John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford, PA. Visitations will be held on Friday, August 15th from 6-8pm and Saturday, August 16th from 9:30-11am. Her funeral mass will follow on Saturday, August 16th at 11am. Interment will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.

I am very sorry to everyone who is impacted by the loss of Chrissy. My boyfriend Jay and I are friends with Evan and met Chrissy through him. She and my mom formed a bond due to their similar cancer battles and I never saw my mom be able to talk about her past cancer battle the way she did until she met Chrissy. I could see how each of them were what the other needed. Chrissy was so bubbly and has a contagious personality. RIP Chrissy, you will truly be missed.

I only knew Chrissy a short time through the Providence Garden Club when she returned last year. What a beautiful smile and inner light she radiated. Everyone who knew her spoke so highly of her. She truly will be missed. Our prayers are for God to be with you all as you grieve your loss.

I just heard about Chrissy’s passing, and am shocked. She was an old friend of my grandfather, Al Zanner, in Ocean City, New Jersey. I only met her a handful of times but we shared a love of dogs and the beach, and I was fortunate to also meet the famous Daisy. Chrissy was always very kind to me and I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family and friends.
